A farmer from Zhytomyr Oblast plans to launch a commercial line for the production of poultry feed

"Eko-Co" LLC from Zhytomyr Region has been engaged in the egg sector of poultry farming since 2004. Feed for chickens is made on the farm itself.

 

This is stated in the special project "Compound feed plant based on the Lego principle - egg production at the Eco-Co" factory on Kurkul.com.

 

For more than half a year, the line for the production of Buschhoff compound feed, which was installed by the company "Sii Dobro", the official representative of Buschhoff in Ukraine, has been operating at the farm

 

As the director of "Eko-Co" Vitaly Khovanskyi said, the farm does not have its own land, therefore raw materials for the production of fodder - corn, wheat, sunflower and soybean meal - are purchased, as well as the necessary premixes.

 

"We installed an elevator for 2,000 tons of grain. And together with the construction of a new compound feed complex — six containers from Buschhoff of 40 tons each. Thanks to this, we can dynamically change approaches and recipes. It's very convenient, because depending on the situation and needs, we can make maneuvers on grain," said Vitaly Khovanskyi.

Currently, Eko-Co produces fodder only for its own needs. However, the neighboring farms, which learned about the novelty, turn to the farmer with a request to make compound feed for them as well.

 

"We have plans to launch a commercial line. We are considering this issue because there is a demand. Service workers of "Sii Dobro" promptly responded to our need to additionally install a direct shipment line. In the beginning, we didn't even think about it. Because there was no need. After all, we already make bulk feed to other farms. Now we plan to install packaging," added Vitaly Khovanskyi.

 

Before installing feed equipment, Vitaly Khovanskyi advises to prepare well, study your own needs in detail, calculate everything clearly. And the specialists of the company "Sii Dobro" will help to fulfill all needs.

 

At "Eko-Ko", for example, they additionally installed equipment for hanging big-bags in which monocalcium phosphate and meat and bone meal are stored.
