ALFA Smart Agro launches production of dry herbicides in Kyiv region

The ALFA Smart Agro company is moving the production of herbicides in the preparative form of water-soluble granules to Ukraine. Kurkul.com was informed by the company's press service.

"Triathlon, Sigur, Trivium, Hammer and other well-known developments of ALFA Smart Agro, which were previously manufactured abroad, will be produced by the new specialized workshop of the Bilotserki plant of preparative forms," the message reads.

As noted, the transfer of production of dry herbicides to Ukraine is a planned stage of the company's development. In general, the implementation of the project lasted more than three years. New production facilities in Ukraine will allow ALFA Smart Agro to control the quality of granular herbicides at the highest possible level.

The capacity of the new dry herbicide shop is 300 tons of products per year. Thus, ALFA Smart Agro will produce in Ukraine not only preparations for the needs of the domestic market, but also for export.

The new workshop is designed in accordance with CropLife international standards (avoidance of cross-contamination between herbicides and other types of pesticides during production). And the technological line itself is adapted to the specifics of ALFA Smart Agro developments. In particular, in order to achieve an ideal uniformity of the distribution of components in the finished product, the processes of grinding raw materials and mixing substances have been improved. The line is capable of combining virtually an unlimited number of components, including liquids.

"The production of dry herbicides is the sixth technological line at the Bilotserk plant of preparative forms. We make suspension concentrates, emulsion concentrates, oil-based emulsions, oil dispersions, suspoemulsions, liquid concentrates-detoxifiers and other types of PPE, and now we will be able to make granules and powders as well. For one company, this is a large assortment and great opportunities. BZPF has the best expertise in the production of drugs with complex formulations, and there are already a number of ALFA Smart Agro products that, as we see, only our plant is capable of producing," said Roman Shpachenko, director of the Belotserk plant of preparative forms.

It is also noted that the Multi Control multi-level quality control system was developed and implemented for the first time at BZPF. The production of ALFA Smart Agro granulated herbicides in Ukraine means that quality control specialists will have full access to all processes: from the purchase of raw materials to the storage of finished products.
