Corn sowing has started in another region

The agrarians of the Poltava region have begun to sow corn. This was reported in the Department of Agriculture of the Poltava Regional State Administration.

As noted, early grain crops have already been sown in the region on an area of 78,000 hectares, or 75% of the forecast.

5.7 thousand ha of sugar beet, 9.6 thousand ha of sunflower, and 1.5 thousand ha of corn were sown.

We will remind you that the farmers of Sumy Oblast were the first to start sowing corn this year.

In general, as of April 13, agricultural producers in the territory controlled by Ukraine have sown 722.4 thousand hectares of grain and leguminous crops, or 13% ahead of the forecast.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy predicts that the area under corn will decrease by 10-15% this year. And they will grow under oil and sugar beets.
