Farmers began to sow spring wheat

As of March 9, the projected area of sowing of main spring crops for the 2023 harvest in the territory controlled by Ukraine is 5,700.1 thousand hectares, which is 206.5 thousand hectares less than last year. The press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy writes about it.
As of the reporting date, only the farmers of Odesa region have started sowing spring crops. At the same time, on the same date last year, sowing had not yet started in Ukraine.
Thus, 16,100 hectares of grain and leguminous crops were sown by all categories of farms in Odesa, including 6,700 hectares of spring wheat, 5,900 hectares of spring barley and 3,500 hectares of peas.
We will remind, on February 25, peas began to be sown in Odesa. Farmers started sowing spring barley at the beginning of March.
