From May 18, Ukraine can expect a fuel collapse - expert

With the entry into force of the law on mobilization in Ukraine, a fuel collapse may occur, and prices at gas stations will soar. Such a forecast was voiced by Dmytro Lyushkin, the founder of the "Prime" logistics group of companies.

He noted that with the entry into force of the mobilization law on May 18, truck drivers transporting fuel and other goods will not be able to go abroad due to outdated data in the TCC.

The expert explained that there are currently huge queues at TCC, due to which many drivers cannot update their data in time. In addition to queues at the TCC, it is also necessary to go through the VLC, and, as the expert noted, it is not a fact that all drivers will then have their reservations confirmed.

According to Dmytro Lyushkin, fuel reserves at gas stations are currently calculated for two weeks.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian truck drivers believe that Poles will take over the domestic transportation market due to increased mobilization.

"Due to the fact that drivers will cease to be issued, shippers will start raising the cost of transportation to find a carrier. And our market will be occupied by Polish transport companies," said one of the carriers.

However, the director of the consulting company "A-95" Seriy Kuyun believes that there will be no collapse with fuel. According to him, the import of gasoline and diesel by motor vehicles is up to 15% and is easily covered by the railway.

According to Serhii Kuyun, large gas station chains, given the situation, are seriously considering involving women drivers in transportation.
