Grain corridor: Ukraine increases product shipments to Asia

During the 35th week of operation of the "grain corridor" from March 27 to April 2, 2023, Ukraine exported 852.4 thousand tons of agricultural products. This is 6% more than a week ago.

This is reported by the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UKAB).

"At the same time, the number of ships that were loaded this week was 18 units, which is 4 ships less than the previous week. This indicates an increase in the number of large-tonnage vessels, which is quite logical due to the increase in shipments to Asian countries (primarily China)," the message reads.

  The largest export volumes were:

  corn (55% of exports during this period);

  wheat (30%);

  sunflower oil (14%).

Ukrainian products went to the countries of Asia (China, Bangladesh, Turkey and others), Europe (Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and others) and Africa (Egypt).

A total of 26.7 million tons of products were exported since the beginning of the "grain corridor".

It will be recalled that China became the main importer of Ukrainian agricultural products within the framework of the "grain corridor". Export rates exceeded pre-war indicators.
