Soil monitoring and agrochemical certification of agricultural lands are carried out in Bukovyna.

As stated in the message of the Chernivtsi OVA, this will allow monitoring the change in soil fertility indicators, soil contamination with toxic substances and radionuclides, rational use of agricultural land.

This year, the works are being carried out by the Chernivtsi branch of the Derzhzhnokhorona State University on the territory of a number of united territorial communities of the Chernivtsi and Vyzhnytskyi districts.

"As of June 1, 2023, 2,720 hectares of agricultural land have been surveyed," the department specified.

According to the current legislation, agrochemical certification of arable land is carried out every 5 years, hayfields, pastures and perennial plantations - every 5-10 years. The result of agrochemical passporting of agricultural lands is an agrochemical passport, which is necessary for the implementation of production activities.
