In Hungary, a batch of Ukrainian corn was destroyed due to contamination with mycotoxins

In Hungary, food chain safety experts destroyed a batch of Ukrainian corn due to mycotoxins found in it. This was reported by the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary.
As noted, some samples of corn were contaminated with toxins and GMOs.
"During the work, which lasted several weeks, in three cases the experts found corn contaminated with mycotoxins, and three samples showed a positive result after the GMO test. In addition to all this, soy contamination was detected in two cases. During an on-site inspection in Bekesh-Warmedie, more than 29 tons of corn of Ukrainian origin were found, which was contaminated with a grain admixture," the message reads.
As noted in the department, an order to restrict movement and destruction has been issued for this object.
In addition, in Hungary, not only unprocessed grain products were checked, but also wheat flour of Ukrainian origin, as there were suspicions of quality defects.
We will remind you that Hungary has strengthened the control over transit transportation through its territory of Ukrainian grain, so that it actually reaches the countries of destination.
