In Poltava Oblast, 25% of the planned area of early cereals was sown

In Poltava Oblast, 25% of the planned areas of early grain and leguminous crops have already been sown.

Dmytro Lunin, head of Poltava OVA, reported this.

The sown area in the region is currently 26,000 hectares. Spring wheat and barley, peas and oats are sown. Fertilization of winter crops is nearing completion.

"Rainy weather somewhat hampers work, but our farmers reliably keep their order. We thank each of them for their selfless work," said the head of OVA.

Previously, the Poltava Regional State Administration noted that 228,000 hectares of land had been set aside for winter crops, which is roughly the same level as last year. In particular:

216.1 thousand ha were sown with wheat;

barley - 8.4 thousand hectares;

rye — 4.1 thousand ha;

winter rapeseed — 39.6 thousand ha.

According to the data of the "Sowing Online 2022/23" map, 620.5 thousand hectares of grain and leguminous crops have already been sown in Ukraine.
