In Sumy Oblast, sowing is under threat: farmers are massively receiving summonses

Sowing has started in Shostkinsky District, Sumy Oblast, but employees of agricultural enterprises have started receiving summonses. This was reported by the chief specialist of the Department of Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex, Maryna Geremes, during a staff meeting with the mayor, writes shostkanews.city.
According to her, all agricultural enterprises of the district have actively started a complex of spring works. All enterprises plan to sow. The total sown area of all agricultural crops is predicted to be about 38,000 ha. So far, about 3,000 hectares have been sown. Wheat and peas were the first to be sown.
The official noted that in order for the sowing to take place on time, it is necessary to involve all employees of agricultural enterprises, but at the moment it is very difficult to advance the case of obtaining a reservation - for this, the enterprise must prove its criticality for Ukraine.
As Marina Geremes pointed out, given all the conditions, only two enterprises could be recognized as critical in the Shostky region. Others can't even apply because they don't meet the criteria.
"It is very difficult to make a reservation. The order seems to be clear, but it contains strict conditions," she said.
Currently, according to the law, agricultural enterprises have submitted lists of employees to the territorial center of staffing and social support.
The official said that now they are being served with summons based on these lists.
"And now, as law-abiding citizens, heads of agricultural enterprises must remove people from field work and send them to undergo medical examination and other things. So it turns out that it is necessary to stop the work," she said.
