In Vinnytsia, the yield of barley at the start of the season is higher than last year

More and more regions are joining the 2023 harvest campaign. For example, farmers in the southern regions of Vinnytsia have started harvesting early grains.

As of the end of June, 0.1 thousand hectares of winter barley were threshed in all categories of farms. The average crop yield this year is 3.9 t/ha. Last year, according to statistical studies, the yield of winter barley was 3.83 t/ha.
By the way, as of June 30, a total of 61.5 thousand hectares of winter barley were threshed in Ukraine, 205.5 thousand tons of grain were threshed with a yield of 3.35 tons/ha.
As reported by the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of Vinnytsia Oblast, the area under early grain and leguminous crops decreased by 20,000 hectares this year. At the same time, the area of winter rapeseed was increased by 31 thousand hectares.
