"In the 2022 season, the demand for sleeves has doubled. The total volume of the crop stored in the sleeves of "Plastic Planet" is 5 million tons, most of this volume is corn," said Kostyantyn Vashchenko.

According to him, compared to the construction of granaries, storing grain in sleeves requires minimal investment. Money is needed only to buy inexpensive equipment and sleeves.

The second advantage is the technology: sleeves can store grain right in the field, there is no need to worry about the lack of transport to remove products from under the combine, there is a possibility of separate storage of sorted grain. Thirdly, sleeves make it possible to sell the same corn more expensively than in the harvest season.

"Today, the cost of storing corn in grain sleeves from Planet Plastik is $2.25/ton. These are one-time costs, and they do not depend on the storage period. Storing one ton of corn in an elevator for 6 months will cost about $15/t. For 12 months, it is necessary to pay already $30/t, when the sleeve is still the same $2.25. Therefore, it is obvious that it is more profitable to store grain in sleeves," said the director of Planeta Plastik LLC.

The warranty period of operation of the sleeve produced by Planeta Plastik LLC is 24 months — 12 months of product storage and 12 months in the loaded sleeve. But theoretically, the term of use can be longer.

"We have already started selling sleeves for grain storage. We are signing contracts for the supply of "Planet Plastik" sleeves for the 2023 season. All our resources are aimed at meeting 200% of the annual needs of all Ukrainian farmers at any time, with the best price for them. Therefore, it is not important whether to buy a sleeve now or already during the harvest," Kostyantyn Vashchenko added.
