LEADING REGIONS FOR MAIZE HARVESTING AND YIELD ARE NAMED

As of March 2, grain and leguminous crops were harvested on an area of 11.29 million hectares (98%) with a yield of 4.8 t/ha, and 54.2 million tons of grain for the 2022 harvest were threshed. This is reported by Kurkul.com.

In particular, corn has been harvested on 95% of the area. 26.9 million tons of grain were threshed, with a yield of 6.69 tons/ha.

As of the reporting date, farmers in Vinnytsia, Zaporizhia, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi and Chernivtsi regions have finished harvesting corn. The highest yield on:

Ternopil Oblast — 9.3 t/ha;

Khmelnytskyi — 8.59 t/ha;

Poltava Oblast — 8.5 t/ha;

Lviv Oblast — 8.2 t/ha.

Farmers of Poltava region threshed the most corn — 4.3 million tons.

Also collected:

wheat — 20.2 million tons from an area of 5 million hectares (100%), with a yield of 4.05 tons/ha;

barley — 5.8 million from 1.7 million ha (100%), with a yield of 3.47 t/ha;

peas — 269 thousand tons from 118 thousand hectares (100%), with a yield of 2.28 tons/ha;

buckwheat — 158.5 thousand tons from an area of 117.4 thousand hectares (99%), with a yield of 1.35 tons/ha;

millet — 101.8 thousand tons from 44.7 thousand ha (99%), with a yield of 2.28 tons/ha.

Regarding oily:

sunflower was harvested from an area of 4.8 million hectares (99%), 10.5 million tons of seeds were threshed with a yield of 2.18 tons/ha;

soybean threshed from an area of 1.5 million ha (100%) threshed 3.7 million tons with a yield of 2.43 tons/ha;

Rape was harvested from an area of 1.1 million hectares (100%) and 3.2 million tons of seeds were threshed with a yield of 2.86 tons/ha.

Sugar beets were dug up on an area of 180.5 thousand hectares (100%), 9.1 million tons of sweet roots were dug up with a yield of 50.1 tons/ha.

Agricultural producers of Poltava region threshed 5.8 million tons of grain.

The highest yield of grain and leguminous crops among the farmers of Khmelnytskyi region is 7.08 t/ha.
