More than 800,000 hectares of agricultural land are planned to be sown in Ternopil Oblast

More than 800,000 hectares of agricultural land are planned to be sown in Ternopil Oblast this year. This was announced by the head of the regional department of agro-industrial development, Volodymyr Stakhiv, writes agronews.ua.
Agricultural enterprises are expanding the area of grain and vegetable crops
Ternopil oblast farmers are preparing for the sowing campaign. Some agricultural enterprises are already cultivating and nourishing the soil.
"Farms are provided with fuel. There are currently no problems with fuel shortages. The equipment is ready for spring field work. This year, it is planned to sow over 800,000 hectares of agricultural land. Among the main crops on which the attention of agrarians of the region is focused are spring grain crops, sugar beets, sunflower, vegetable crops, soybeans.
The department of agro-industrial development of the region notes that there are sufficient reserves of grain and other raw materials for food security in Ternopil Oblast.
