Named a culture that can bring up to $500,000 in income from one hectare

Bulb, wild garlic, levurda, bear onion, samardala. All these different names belong to the same plant - cheremsha (lat. Allium ursinum), which is quickly becoming popular among consumers in Europe and Asia. EastFruit writes about it.

This herbaceous perennial of the genus Allium of the Amaryllidaceae family appears with the arrival of spring as the first vitamin green in shady forests or along rivers and ponds. However, it is available not only in the wild, but also as a cultivated plant.

The popularity of cheremsha also makes it a very profitable agricultural crop, which can bring up to $500,000 in income from one hectare.

"In Ukraine, mountain ash is mostly a wild plant that grows in forests, fields, and homesteads. At the same time, you can legally buy garden pine seeds and plant them on your plot. The pine season is quite short. In its wild form, in the central and northern regions of Ukraine, cherry grows in the second half of April to the beginning of May. Cherry trees are eaten both fresh and in various salads, soups and vegetable dishes," said Kateryna Zvereva, international consultant of the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, FAO.

It is also possible to freeze, salt, and infuse vegetable oil on the pine tree.

Given the useful properties of the plant, as well as its high cost (the retail price of cherry in Ukraine reaches $23.7 per kg), cherry is gaining more and more popularity as an agricultural crop for commercial cultivation.

At the same time, it is important to take into account that before starting the cultivation of pine trees, it is necessary to carry out a special preparation of the soil: it is enriched with humus, leaf soil, mineral fertilizers, and wood ash. Caring for the plant consists in timely watering, loosening the soil and feeding with fertilizers.
