Poland has increased the number of ports for the export of Ukrainian grain

From Friday, April 28, grain from Ukraine will also pass through the Polish port of Kolobrzeg. Previously, exports took place through 4 ports.
This was announced by the Minister of Development of Poland Waldemar Buda, writes RMF24.
Published on the night of April 20 to 21, the order banning the import of agricultural products from Ukraine allowed their transit to the ports of Gdańsk, Gdynia, Swinoujście and Szczecin. Kolobrzeg was not among the four ports listed in it.
In one night, the port lost half of its turnover. The president of the port, Artur Lievsky, called the government's decision a big blow.
"We do not have the same support as large ports that can count on EU funds, so we are taking all kinds of measures to maintain cargo flow in the port, and such measures were transshipment and assistance in the export of cargo from Ukraine," said Artur Lievskyi.
On Monday, Minister Waldemar Buda announced that from April 28, the port of Kolobrzeg will again operate as a transit port for Ukrainian agricultural products.
This means that in a few days, cargoes of grain from Ukraine will again be able to reach the port of Kolobrzeg, where they can be transshipped onto ships and exported, in particular, to Africa.
The president of the port, Artur Lievsky, welcomed the government's decision. He added that in practice the port will accept cargo from Ukraine from Monday.
As a reminder, the European Commission is ready to expand the list of goods prohibited for import from Ukraine, except for the four goods proposed last week. So far, it has only agreed to ban the import of wheat, corn, rape and sunflower.
