Rapeseed prices are already at their peak and it is more profitable for the farmer to sell it now. This opinion was expressed by the trader of "Almeida" companies Dmytro Suh in the special project "Continuous grain season - with what price trends Ukraine enters the 2024/25 MR"  on Elevatorist.com .

"Not everything depends on us, there is also the European market, which will collect a little later. European processing plants still focus more on their own harvest. They have an established practice when they work for a certain period on imported rapeseed, for example, on Ukrainian. Then they sharply cut the imported raw materials in order to ensure the acceptance and processing of their own rapeseed," said Dmytro Suh.

According to him, then it may happen that the volume of Ukrainian shipments will drop sharply for some period of time. In addition, some new factors may emerge during this time that will put pressure on the market.

"If I were a farmer, I would be selling right now. All the same, every manufacturer understands their margin, the point of cost, and they are now far beyond that point. I don't like, for example, to play the lottery. I believe that a tit in the hand is better than a crane in the sky, and in this case this tit is already bigger than the crane," Dmytro Suh argued his opinion.
