Soybean sowing has begun in Volyn

Agricultural producers in Volyn resumed spring field work, which was suspended at the beginning of April due to waterlogged soil, low night temperatures and flooding. This was announced by the head of the Volyn Regional Government Yuriy Pogulyajko.
Farms are currently finishing spring wheat sowing. 97% of the planned 13,000 ha of spring wheat has already been sown in the region.
In addition, farmers sowed:
barley — 20,000 ha (85%);
oats — 29,000 ha (77%);
sugar beets — 4 thousand hectares (53%);
sunflower — 2 thousand ha (5%).
"Also, some farms have started to sow soybeans, and if the weather conditions are favorable, the sowing of corn will also start. Despite all the difficulties that farmers are currently facing, spring sowing continues," OVA reported.
