The debts of farmers from the de-occupied regions are being restructured

Representatives of the agricultural sector, who are in the de-occupied or temporarily occupied territories, have suffered losses due to military operations and are unable to pay their debts to banks, are restructuring their debts. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

As noted, it is also about cases of banks imposing fines, seizure of collateral and lawsuits.

"We call to consider possible options for credit restructuring, "vacation" for representatives of the agricultural sector in the de-occupied or temporarily occupied territories, so that these enterprises can survive and recover after the liberation of the territories. Fortunately, even in such difficult conditions, the agricultural sector shows stability and has a perspective of development. If the banks take property from the farmers, then after the liberation of the territories, we will get a clean field and it will be very difficult to recover," explained First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi.

As noted by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, banks have confirmed their readiness to meet agricultural producers. The heads of the institutions assured that they adhere to the NBU's previous recommendations regarding flexible lending and are ready to consider each credit history individually.
