The last ship within the framework of the grain agreement left the Ukrainian port

The last ship that made a voyage within the framework of the "grain agreement" left the port of Odesa early Sunday morning, before the end of the deadline set for the extension of the agreement.

This was reported by the Reuters agency.

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine informed earlier that loading of 85,000 tons of grain for Egypt is being completed in the port of Odesa. These are the last two bulkers waiting to be loaded. They added that 29 ships were blocked in Turkish waters for loading grain from Ukraine.

On July 17, the Black Sea "grain initiative" expires.

Earlier, the President of Turkey, Recep Erdogan, said that he and the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, agree on the need to extend the agreement on the safe export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea. The Turkish President expressed hope that the "grain agreement" will be extended from the current deadline of July 17 as a result of the efforts of the UN and Turkey.

Meanwhile, UN Secretary General António Guterres proposed to lift sanctions against "Rossilhospbank" in order for Russia to agree to continue participating in the grain agreement.
