The USDA predicts a reduction in the production and export of Ukrainian wheat

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) on May 10 published a global forecast of production of major agricultural crops for the 2024/25 marketing year of the MR compared to the previous season.

As reported by Ukrinform, the press service of the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business reports this.

"In the 2024/25 financial year, Ukraine's wheat and corn production indicators, if compared with the previous year, will decrease: wheat - by 2 million tons to 21.0 million tons, corn - by 4 million tons to 27.0 million tons. Export of Ukrainian grains will also decrease: wheat - by 3.5 million to 14 million tons, corn - by 2 million tons to 26.0 million tons," the forecast says.

 

The forecast of the world wheat market for 2024/25 MR foresees production at the level of a record 798.2 million tons. An increase in production in India (+3.5 million tons to 114.0 million tons), China (+3.4 million tons to 140, 0), Australia (+3.0 million tons to 29 million tons), Kazakhstan (+2.4 million tons to 14.5 million tons), Canada (+2.1 million tons to 34.0 million tons) and the USA (+1.3 mln t to 50.6 mln t, expected to more than offset production reductions in Russia (-3.5 mln t to 88.0 mln t), Great Britain (-2.8 mln t to 11 .2 million tons), the EU (-2.5 million tons to 132.0 million tons) and Ukraine (-2.0 million tons to 21.0 million tons).
