The vet control procedure for Ukrainian agricultural products transiting through Poland has been simplified

From 8:00 a.m. on March 9, veterinary control of Ukrainian agricultural products transiting through the Republic of Poland to the Polish ports of Gdansk, Gdynia, Swinoujscie, Szczecin or to other countries was canceled.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

What will change for truckers

The simplified procedure will apply at all checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border that work for the passage of cargo transport.

At the checkpoint, the representative of the State Customs Service of Ukraine will put an additional stamp in column 2 in the CMR waybill, in case such cargo is transiting to Polish ports or other countries.

The necessity of affixing an additional seal is determined by a representative of the State Customs Service of Ukraine in accordance with the list of goods (codes) and the recipient specified in the CMR invoice.

The carrier must present the CMR international waybill with an additional stamp to the customs inspectors of the Republic of Poland.

IMPORTANTLY! If there is no additional stamp in column 2 of the CMR invoice, and the goods fall under the list of goods (codes) and transit through the Republic of Poland, the Polish side reserves the right to return such a truck to the territory of Ukraine.

Also, on the Polish side, trucks with transit goods will be sealed after border and customs control.

What will change for rail transport

If the railway waybill (SMGS, or CIM, or CIM/SMGS) indicates a recipient located in the port of Gdańsk, Gdynia, Świnoujście, Szczecin or in other EU member states, the goods will not be subject to veterinary control by Republic of Poland.

In the event that the goods are transiting through the Republic of Poland, but the bill of lading indicates the consignee, who carries out transshipment on the territory of the Republic of Poland from wagons of the Ukrainian standard to European ones, the application of a simplified procedure is possible upon presentation of a contract (or other document) with a European carrier that certifies that this cargo is transiting to Polish ports or to other countries.

Additional sealing of wagons is not provided. Sealing of the wagon, as before, is carried out in accordance with the existing technical requirements and conditions of sealing.

Earlier, Ukraine and Poland agreed on simplifying border crossing for grain trucks.
