Ukraine will focus on ensuring the safety of vessels traveling through temporary corridors

The most important task of Ukraine after the first ship leaves the port of Odesa after the termination of the grain initiative will be to guarantee the safety of ships and their crews. This was announced by First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotskyi.
"In this situation, it is important for us to guarantee the safety of ships and their crews. Indeed, our military laid a route and allowed the exit of ships that were blocked there earlier and that do not fall into the grain initiative. In the future, a clear analysis will be conducted of how this process will take place and, accordingly, the next steps," said Taras Vysotskyi.
In particular, the state budget of Ukraine for the current year provides 20 billion UAH for the insurance of ships that will be ready to export agricultural products from the Black Sea ports of Ukraine.
"Step by step, Ukraine is doing everything possible within its resources to ensure the export of Ukrainian agricultural products through the Black Sea," the official added.
It will be recalled that the container ship JOSEPH SCHULTE under the flag of Hong Kong became the first ship that left the ports of Odesa after the termination of the Black Sea Grain Initiative. It is heading through the corridor established for civilian vessels from/to the ports of Ukraine.
