USDA analysts have released new forecasts for corn and wheat yields

According to USDA forecasts, corn production in Ukraine in 2023/24 MR will reach only 22 million tons, which is 5 million tons less than in the previous report. Kurkul.com writes about it.
The export of corn from Ukraine is also forecast to be significantly lower — 16.5 million tons (-9 million tons). At the same time, the assessment of the final analysis balances was left unchanged — 1.39 million tons.
According to experts, the world corn harvest in 2023/24 MR will amount to 1,219 million tons.
The estimate of the world export of corn was increased by 21.47 million tons to 195.26 million tons. The final balance of corn in the world will be at the level of 312.9 million tons (+17.55 million tons).

USDA experts also forecast a significantly lower wheat harvest in Ukraine in the new 2023/24 FY — 16.5 million tons, which is 4.5 million tons less than in the 2022/23 FY.
According to the forecast, wheat exports from Ukraine will decrease to 10 million tons (14.5 million tons in the last report). Final stocks will decrease from 3.34 million tons to 1.7 million tons.
At the same time, the world wheat harvest in 2023/24 MR is forecast to grow to 789.76 million tons (+0.74 million tons compared to the previous indicator). The global export of wheat in the new season is expected at the level of 209.72 million tons, which is 2.99 million tons less than in the previous forecast.
