USDA experts have released a forecast for the production and export of oilseeds

According to USDA analysts, in 2022/23, Ukraine will export 3.95 million tons of sunflower oil, as well as 3.3 million tons of sunflower meal and 2.65 million tons of sunflower seeds. This is stated in the USDA report for March, writes Latifundist.com.

Sunflower production in Ukraine in 2022/23 will be 10.4 million tons, sunflower meal — 4.213 million tons, oil — 4.386 million tons.

It is predicted that the global production of oilseeds will decrease by 7 million tons to 630 million tons, mainly due to a significant reduction in crops of Argentine soybeans and sunflowers, as well as Indian cotton. These changes are only partially offset by the increase in rapeseed crops in Australia and Ukraine.

As a reminder, USDA experts predict that in 2022/23 FY Ukraine will produce 21 million tons of wheat, exports will amount to 13.5 million, which is at the level of previous forecasts.

As for corn, for Ukraine, the harvest forecast for 2022/23 has not been changed — 27 million tons. At the same time, exports are expected to increase by 1 million tons to 23.5 million tons.
